VALENTINE'S DAY TURNS THE CORNER...WARM UP COMING AND THE HUNT FOR ALPHAS BEGINS!

Warm spell coming,.... rivers are in perfect shape- a few fish on smaller tribs already hitting gravel....BUT!...the mind game and hunt tactics for pre-spawn Alpha Bucks and Hens begins....its going to be an amazing spring run.

 Every Time we have a piss poor fall run like 2015...( my notes go back 20 plus years...and we have had many bad fall returns, and some amazing ones!), the pain suffered in fall will turn elation once we see the spring returns just getting going. The arctic blast last week stalled any progress, but get ready!!!!!.. Saw stones in the bio drift and crawling on snow...salmon
 parr soon to hatch and the big players are getting territorial and itchy !

Still have a few good dates left but they are going fast...cheers!- hope you have a great spring season....btw our trout population held over the winter excellent and we will see some big fat rainbows and browns slashing the surface egg laying stones on the dry as soon as they begin.
