Well, it finally got here! It waited till after labor day. We are hot and dry..need rain badly. River is holding its own at 1260 cfs. A few salmon are around and the caddis hatches and trout fishing remains strong..Pick up a 5 weight and enjoy. Lucky for the cool nights since the bubbler was disconnected at Croton Dam Sept. 1st. They are analyzing the data they compield this year and have an excellent plan for next summer starting July 1st. For the days they did testing trials, it really made an impact!
The few kings that are being caught are at early mornings or at night by hardware tossers at the dam.
Trout and caddis hatches have been an evening affair.
All for now.
