ABOUT LAST NIGHT

FINALLY!........a night with just enough but not too many drakes to get the big fish going again. My client, CN railroad executive John Henry hit several nice browns and rainbows over 18 inches nymphing before the hatch and then on gray drake spinners(double clusters) from 8 PM. on- it was over by 9;30 with the cool night setting in.The insect soup on the water consisted of micro and cinn. caddis, drakes, Isos, cahills, two types of sulphers, and olive stones. The growth rates of the fish is approaching record levels with the tremendous amounts of food available.Steelhead fry have hatched and are contributing to the fish's buffet table selection-don't forget the sucker spawn!
