HAPPY EASTER!

Wishing everyone a Happy Easter! The Muskegon was a sane, calm and completely different river on Saturday.Quite ,Peaceful......totally different then the madness of Good Friday's boat traffic.Fresh steelhead were in very good numbers in both the pools and hitting deep gravel beds which is ideal both for the bite and for their safety. The extra traffic and plenty of sunshine we've seen this weekend has kept the fish in deeper pools Water is at a perfect level and hit 43 degrees yesterday which pushed the steelhead to gravel in the afternoon. With the water covered with egg laying little black stones by 3 in the afternoon, saw one real good sized brown working those stones next to a log jam.Time to break out the 5 weights and CDC stone dries.
