AWESOME DAY ON THE RIVER

It couldn't have been better.Perfect water level and clarity.............slight milky green which is ideal for the bite.Water a bit cold due to the cold night and air temps Sunday.38 F river temp.

No sign of spawning activity. All the fish are well concentrated in the winter pools and runs below gravel.

With abundant sunshine and no wind ,Don and Doug, from the Cleveland Museum of Natural History Trout club, went from snow on Sunday to near tropical weather on Monday.Starting early in the trip, the chrome kept coming in quickly on an assortment of different flies.............even the Doug's dreaded purple egg- sucking leech produced. With little to no pressure in the lower section fish were on the bite through the day. Here is a nice chrome hen Don Kuzma hit right out of the gate...........congrats guys!
