DRAKES STARTING.........STILL TONS OF SULPHERS, AND "IT AIN'T OVER TILL IT'S OVER"

( Mike with his first fly rod steel -three more that morning on the fly rod!- all big aggressive males that jumped and were too much fun- moved two feet to hammer the fly- THAT'S MAY ON THE MO!-NO FLOSSING NEEDED )

First of all, thanks to all the guys and gals that came out to the HEX SHOP in G. R. tonight- was impressed with the caliber of the audience and didn't know what to expect at 4:00 p.m. in the afternoon- HOPE YOU ENJOYED MY PRESENTATION!!- ALSO- thanks Kevin for the care package of the Netherlands prized grain clear flowing produce- NA Zdrowie Pan Kevin!


Yesterday I had architects Robert and Mike from Chicago for steelhead. WELL!.......when they booked the trip several months ago, I assured them the Big Mo has steels till June(even I was a little worried with the low clear water!!!)


BUT.....AS PREDICTED AND AS THE GROUND HOG AND NEWAYGO NEWT VERIFIES- STEEL WAS TO BE HAD!


We landed 5 big aggressive dark bucks- had three chrome females that made several jumps and - gonner baby!


Steelhead sulpher soft hackle emerger the schtyk- washed Otter glow egg patterns with an orange eye killers also.


Took Pete, number one son out for big T-bONE STEAKS on the grill and some sulpher action in the evening after my trip.Had a bazillion micro"INDY caddis"- size # 22- green body/black wings. They were a pestilence- never seen more bugs. Caddis went all day- sulphers from 5- till dark- drakes came out in small numbers.


BUT WATCH OUT!!!!!!!!!NEXT THREE WEEKS IS GONNA BE CRAZY!


STILL HAVE 5 DATES LEFT FOR HATCHES WITH ME- E-MAIL ME AND I'LL SHOW YOU THE SCHTYK- ALSO I'M DOING CHINESE SZECHUAN GRILLED DINNERS ON DAS BOAT!


Also, with my Nikon D700, SLR, I did a mock'Bill Dance " trout landing mini video- just to show how thick the micro Indy 500 caddis are........THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKIN ABOUT SISTER!
