Chinook salmon get a bad rap from the dark ugliest carcasses getting ripped on the gravel- doesn't have to be that way. We are swinging bosses and comets through the pools and the strikes and reel busting battles with aerial leaps are exhilarating!!!!...we have three good weeks left for pool swinging and there are benefits like the lake run brown taken by my oral surgeon client yesterday....still have a few good dates left for this exciting fishing!...its concentration fishing but the rewards are often greater than the patience necessary to get one on the swing....remember salmon don't eat once they enter the rivers...the aggressive/active response is all they have...and they can be very finicky!!!

TROUT UPDATE: RIVER TEMPS CONTINUE TO DROP/WATERS ON THE RISE AND THE CADDIS/MIDGES IN UPPER RIVER...LOWER RIVER HAS  TINY BWO/STENO/ISO HATCHES , AND ARE NOW IN FULL SWING.....LOOK FOR HUNGRY BROWNS AND BOWS IN THE FLATS BELOW SALMON SIPPING BWO'S. CAHILLS AND CHASING CADDIS ADULTS AND PUPAE...BONUS...BROWN FLYING ANTS JUST STARTED..- SIZES #16-22..CRACK FOR TROUT!
