THE CHROME FANTASY CONTINUES!-SKAMANIA SUMMER STEELHEAD MANIA ONLY TO GET BETTER

 

( we are seeing some of the largest 36-39 inch summer runs in years!)

 

Cool air, precipitation and lots of steelhead still coming into all southern Lake Michigan tributaries- could be the best run we've seen in years. Also, I never recall a cool summer like this since 1994 maybe. We will see more fish continue to come in August since the last 4 heat filled summers had later fish being taken for egg and sperm development- thus later running fish.
The IDNR already has their quota for brood stock from Trail Creek so all the fish coming in are for angler's enjoyment his could be the best summer in a decade with summer runs enjoying the cool wet weather and on the take!...beetles, Mysis shrimp, swinging flies on two handers...its all a blast. If you never experienced these "tarpon of the Great Lakes' ..you owe it to yourself!!!...
We are sight fishing dries, Indy fishing nymphs and swinging uglies on two handers...the whole gamut!
